The words of Elder Ascetic Theodore, known as Nilos of Agiofarago, carry a message of profound significance. His prophecy foretells a dramatic turning point marked by conflict between Israel and Iran, the destabilization of the global order, and sweeping political shifts within Turkey’s leadership.
1-“While sipping your morning coffee, you will hear of the first bomb falling in Iran. From that moment, everything will cease to function. The schemes of the new order will be upended.”

2On Friday June 13, 2025, Israel launched Operation Rising Lion, striking Iran’s nuclear and military sites. The conflict escalated into the Twelve-Day War, with Iran retaliating through missile and drone attacks against Israeli targets. The United States joined on June 22, hitting key Iranian nuclear facilities. The war ended on June 24 with a ceasefire, leaving the region destabilized and exposing vulnerabilities on both sides.

The Iran war
4The 2026 Iran War began on February 28, 2026, when the United States and Israel launched attacks against Iran, profoundly reshaping the Middle East. The opening strikes killed Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and prompted Iran to retaliate with hundreds of missiles and thousands of drones across the region.
The conflict caused widespread destruction, killed thousands in Iran and Lebanon and dozens in Israel and the Gulf states, and displaced millions. In Lebanon alone, renewed fighting between Israel and Hezbollah forced more than one-sixth of the population from their homes.
Iranian threats and the danger of crossfire also severely disrupted shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial global oil chokepoint. This contributed to fuel shortages in parts of Asia and produced wider economic repercussions.
After more than five weeks of fighting, the United States and Iran reached a ceasefire on April 7–8 that also included Israel. The conflict then evolved into a tense standoff over access to the Strait of Hormuz. On June 14, mediators announced a memorandum of understanding intended to formally end the conflict within 60 days. However, hostilities resumed in July after Iran attacked three commercial vessels that had bypassed its preapproved shipping route.
The first part of the prophecy has already been fulfilled with Israel’s strikes on Iran’s nuclear program. We now await the second part: the fall of Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
5In 2026 Iran war, Erdogan obstructed the American-Israeli plans against Iran because a prolonged war or the collapse of the Iranian government could trigger refugee flows, Kurdish separatism, economic disruption and greater Israeli dominance in the region. By denying the use of Turkish territory, airspace and bases while promoting diplomacy, he sought to protect Turkey’s security, independence and regional influence.
6Iran war failed because Erdogan told Trump that Türkiye wouldn't allow a "Kurdish invasion" of Iran, and then Trump cancelled the operation.

Right now, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has become a direct obstacle to the strategic objectives of Israel and the United States in their Middle East strategy. Erdogan stands in the way of their success. As we await his fall, the second part of the prophecy stands ready to be fulfilled!
